I have always been active, fit and healthy. Growing up in a family with a mom that believed in eating healthy organics and a dad that road his bike 50 miles per day really helped. I started going to the gym with my mom when I was 14. Until I was a senior in High School, 18 years old, I only did cardio. Mostly the elliptical, sometimes the stair stepper and maybe a few stationary weight machines but I would never venture upstairs to the free weight zone. That was foreign territory.
Then, the fitness trend really started on Instagram, girls working out with weights…what?! Crazy! I was inspired! I wanted to try! And so my squat journey with the Smith Press began. However, I was still scared of heavy weight and would only squat up to a 25lb plate on each side, never more, and never using the free squat bar…that was too scary!
But then over the summer from High School to College, I ventured into the free weight world! Overtime I mastered the leg press with 3-45lb plates on each side and the free squat rack with a 45lb plate on each side, I was pretty proud!
Soon I discovered Gymshark and my life and mind was made up, I knew that I wanted to film workout videos to inspire other women that they too could workout and lift heavy weights, it wasn’t nearly as scary as it looked.
Throughout my fitness journey I have always been about working out to work out, not to obtain certain body goals or loose a certain amount of weight. I don’t have leg or arm or back day, I do a balanced full body workout everyday. I try to workout at least 6 days per week, do 30 minutes of cardio and get my full 10,000 steps. Soon, I developed my motto of “Killing them with a Godly Physique”. I developed this philosophy to work out for yourself while impressing everyone around you.
So go out there, workout for yourself and Kill them with a Godly Physique!
Q: What are your measurements?
A: 5 foot even, around 110 pounds. I don't measure myself or weigh myself. When I started my fitness journey, I was a compulsive weigher which was not healthy. I found if I eat healthy and workout, there's no reason to hop on the scale as long as you feel good.
Q: What is your workout schedule?
A: I workout around 6 days per week, 30-45 minutes of weights and 30 minutes of cardio. I do a full body workout each day, as I don't believe in arm or leg day.
Q: What do you eat?
A: I don't believe in counting macros or calories. Don't deprive yourself! I eat what I want in moderation, I am a pretty Type A person who likes to have a routine food schedule, which is predominantly healthy with around 1 treat per day.
Q: What are your workout goals?
A: To feel great and be happy! I don't want to gain x amount of muscle or x number of inches on my butt or loose x amount of weight. I want to look good by my standards but more importantly feel good!
